Tarot for the Soul ~ week of July 17, 2017

week july 17

Welcome to your weekly Tarot for the Soul reading!

If you have been guided to this reading, then you are in the right place, my friend. This reading is meant for you.

As always, I have drawn two cards from my Osho Zen Tarot deck, offering you guidance for your week ahead.

The first card represents the gifts that will be showered upon you this week by the Universe. We always have gifts being delivered to us—and spiritual mastery lies in slowing down enough to be able to recognize them and cultivate gratitude. Our soul longs to say “thank you”… and, so, by taking this moment to give thanks, we generate even more positive energy so that more and more gifts may manifest in the future!

The second card represents your areas for growth this week. Remember: there is no life without challenge…no light without dark, no yin without yang. Life in human form is a mixed bag of circumstances and lessons. It is in our highest wisdom to recognize and embrace all aspects, even the ones that are painful. Our soul needs challenges in order to grow. So, stand and face these growth opportunities with an open, courageous, loving heart.

WEEK OF JULY 17, 2017

this week spread

GIFTS:

Our gifts this week include the comfort and the peace of knowing that wherever we go, we are at home in the Universe. This is portrayed by the Slowing Down Card (Knight of Rainbows).WP_20170709_001

In any situation, regardless of geographic location or the people we are with, we are always at home. Like a lovely turtle, we carry our homes with us.

The turtle shell is a metaphor for our heart—and that is where can always tune. No matter what’s going on, we can always close our eyes, and breathe and be with our heart. When we slow down and feel our heart, there is a deep sense of self-acceptance that arises. There is self-love.

This week, when life around you seems hectic or even chaotic, take some time to breathe, slow down, and feel into your heartspace. Feel this space expand with love. Know that you are home, wherever you are. There is no need to rush anywhere or accomplish anything—because you are completely full, completely whole, right here right now. In this moment.

GROWTH:

This week’s card indicates a suggestion for you to drop into your Innocence (19 of Major Arcana).Unknown

First of all, I think it’s fascinating that this week’s reading brought in two animals. The tortoise (as just discussed) and the praying mantis.

The praying mantis is perched on the wise monk’s finger, and it looks like the bug is teaching the monk!

Indeed, as we walk along our life’s path, our soul’s awakening journey, we can learn so much from the animal kingdom. They can be some of our most profound teachers.

While the tortoise teaches us to slow down and accept ourselves, the praying mantis teaches us about the miracle of curiosity and intelligence. These small insects are incredibly keen, and if we watch them long enough, we begin to get a sense of their powerful capabilities to reason, to plan, to think. Gazing at a praying mantis is rather surreal—you begin to feel like you’ve entered another planet! A planet where the bugs are just as smart as the humans!

In this Innocence card, we see a wise sage having a deep communion with the insect. We see the sage’s face: full of surprise, wonder, awe, and play. There is a youthful innocence to the scene: springtime flowers in full bloom decorate the background, and the colors are soft and radiant.

The man and the insect seem to be having a deep moment of connection. The praying mantis is cocking his head to one side, as if to say, “What is your story, old man?” He seems to be asking a question, and the old sage seems to be delighting in not knowing the answer. The old sage seems to be speechless. Happy. Content to enjoy watching his little friend, wordless, and learning from it.

To cultivate this kind of patient, curious innocence is an opportunity for great growth in our lives. It is perhaps the greatest intelligence. If we can realize that the bugs of this world have as much to teach us about life as do books, if we can realize that the birds have as much to teach us about love as our lovers, if we can realize that all the sages in the universe can only hint at the beauty of a rose, then we will be fulfilled. We will walk this Earth, in a profound sense of lightness and joy.

This week, can you recall your youthful, curious innocence? Can you delight in this world around you? Can you learn from unexpected sources?

Have a wonderful, blessed week!

WEEK OF JULY 10, 2017

WP_20170630_001

GIFTS:

This week you are in tune with your intuition and soft, flowing, feminine nature, as indicated by the Receptivity Card (Queen of Water).WP_20170630_002

As situations, events, thoughts, and people come into your sphere this week, you will be more able to receive them non-judgmentally, allowing all, letting all to be as they are (without needing them to change). You will be in a spirit of compassion and divine receptivity. You will be able to tap into a part of yourself that is deeply trusting. In this open heartspace, you will be filled with an exquisite tenderness from the Universe; you will easily be able to let that energy flow from you, to nourish and heal others around you.

This week is about getting in touch with your feminine side—and not feminine in terms of gender or what culture tends to mean by that word…rather, feminine energy. This week is about getting in touch with the part of you that nurtures, that mothers, that allows, the part of you that feels and knows beyond logic.

GROWTH:

This week you are being nudged by the Universe to enter a new phase of maturity, as indicated by the card of The Rebel (4 of Major Arcana).WP_20170630_003

At first glance, this card might appear to be wholly positive and congratulatory (and, yes, in many readings, this card can mean just that); however, for this particular week, this card indicates something challenging. It is indicating a need for growth. It is asking you to look deep inside, and ponder the question: “Who/what am I fighting against? And why am I fighting?”

As any parent knows, the teenage years are often the most challenging. When teenagers start to get a real whiff of the dysfunction of society, they rebel. They listen to music their parents hate, they get piercings and tattoos, they drink and do drugs, and they engage in all sorts of rebellious, risky behavior. This is their way of breaking the chains of society. They are finding themselves. They are differentiating themselves from their parents and finding their own space and voice.

We often carry this spirit of teenage rebellion into our adult lives. For example, in my own experience, it was very important for me, for a period of time, to be an outspoken polyamory activist. I constantly wrote about it and talked about it, in the effort to raise awareness about the multiple ways we humans can be in romantic relationship beyond just the culturally-condoned avenue of monogamy. However—there came a certain point when I realized that the way that I was going about it all was incongruent with my spiritual path. Although, in some ways, I was doing good work, I was also angry. I was fighting and shouting with the world.

Eventually, I had to let the rebel in me dissolve. It was time for a higher level of maturity. I made the shift to simply being polyamorous, but without all the fanfare, without the need to storm into a room and announce my point. I realized that what I needed to do, at a deeper level, was to embody love in all situations. And not just in romantic/sexual love, but unconditional love (agape love) in every single interaction with every single human being I encounter. This my deeper path. This is my dharma.

So, friend, what is your deeper path? In what ways have you been the angry rebel, fighting against people and society? Can you allow that reactivity in you to dissolve, rising instead to a new, higher version of yourself? Can you mature? Can you evolve? What is the deeper lesson that you’ve been trying to understand, underneath the rebellion? How can you continue the amazing work you do in the world—but in a less aggressive way?

This week asks you to consider these significant questions…. a process that has the potential to shift the entire course of your life.

A big week indeed.

Thanks so much for tuning in, friends. I have enjoyed being with you this week and all weeks. Sending so much love to you.

If you’d like to schedule a more in-depth private reading with me, I’m available via phone and Skype.

May you be healthy.

~ YOUR READING ~

WEEK OF JULY 3, 2017

GIFTS:

This week, your gifts can be understood through the No-Thingness Card (5 of Major Arcana).photo_5 Major Arcana

To understand this card, we must understand that No-Thingness is not nothing. It’s different.

When we speak of No-Thingness, rather, we speak of the formless, the unmanifested, the pure potential that lies in the moment(s) before something emerges. Before creation, there is the formless Void. After creation disintegrates, there is also the formless Void.

The Void is the beginning and the end; the always.

Zen teachings talk about this. In fact, they have built their whole philosophy around it. For Zen practitioners, they understand that our greatest fear as humans is the Void…and if we can—through meditation and heartfelt spiritual practice—release our fear of the Void, then we can live our daily lives with much more beauty, grace, and ease.

This week, your gift is the stillness, peace, the utter quiet of the formless. This is a place where you can receive the deepest rest. In sleep, we often dream—but in the Void, there is nothing. Nothing to think, nothing to do, nothing to hold on to. The usual comfort of our humanness is gone…and, in its place, there is total peace.

This week is a wonderful time to intentionally immerse yourself in the Void. This will not feel so scary, rather it will feel like a gift for you. A blessing. More specifically, my suggestion is to spend more time than usual in meditation. Indeed, this is a great time to intentionally go into those blank spaces where nothing is “happening.”

This is a great week for rest, between adventures.

GROWTH:

What a wonderful week of growth for you to look forward to! Today I’d like to talk to you about the Ordinariness Card (8 of Rainbows).WP_20170624_001

In this card, we see a woman wearing blue jeans, walking under some trees, having just picked some flowers. She is peaceful, easy.

There is nothing “dazzling” about the scene. The colors are soft and gentle. There are no reporters with flashbulbs, there are no admirers telling her how wonderful she is, there are no hurricanes or lightning bolts in the sky. It’s simply a quiet spring day, and she is simply a simple woman walking.

At first glance, perhaps this image might seem boring. Yet, if we sink deep into this image, we feel a tremendous sense of peace. All is well. There is not one more thing this woman needs to accomplish. She is perfect, just as she is. In her blue jeans and solitude.

In truth, this lovely card points to the learning lesson that Zen has known for centuries: That even the most seemingly mundane moments (chopping wood, carrying water) are incredibly beautiful if we can allow ourselves to be totally present within them. The trick is not to do the task in a way that seeks praise from others. No. If we can simply live our lives in a simple way, being totally present with every single thing we are doing—whether doing laundry, cooking a meal, helping our child with their homework, walking the dog, or whatever—then we realize the truth of our enlightened Buddhahood within.

The ordinary, then, is not labeled ordinary. The ordinary then actually becomes the extraordinary. Because life itself is extraordinary.

WEEK OF JUNE 26, 2017

GIFTS:

Dear friends, this week please keep in mind the Moment to Moment card (2 of rainbows).WP_20170618_005

This card presents the gift of questions. As you navigate the waters of life, can you keep your balance? Can you keep your eyes gently gazing at a fixed, still point ahead of you, rather than getting distracted by all the commotion of all the many things, people, energies, and situations swirling around you? Can you be present in a moment of peace?

This card is about finding tranquility and balance within even the most chaotic of situations. Even if you live in the city and you are bombarded by noise, traffic, and pollution—can you find peace, regardless? Even if you live in a house with those who stress you out or annoy you—can you find peace within your own soul?

And, then, ask yourself these deeper questions: What is the most important aspect of my life? What kind of personal qualities, ethics, and characteristics am I aiming to cultivate? What are the typical blocks and chronic upsets on my path of evolution?

Be centered, be balanced, be calm this week. Keep your whole being gently focused on the present moment, and don’t let yourself fall off course by getting distracted by all the comings and goings around you.

Be patient, be graceful, and cultivate simple yet strong confidence in your path.

GROWTH:

You are being encouraged by this Universe this week to share more abundantly than ever before, as indicated by the Sharing card (queen of fire).WP_20170618_004

This card doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to share money or finances, although, for some people, it may mean that. Use your intuition about specifics. Tarot cards speak to each person individually, gently allowing the whispers of the heart to unfurl.

What is your way to share, this week?

With what have you been blessed so that you may share with others? With what are you rich, so that you may pass on the wealth to your fellow human beings?

This card is a reminder that we all have our beautiful stock of energies, feelings, materials, time, and resources to share. We all have this. Even the homeless man on the street has gifts to share—if you take the time to stop and chat with him, you will find out.

No one is excluded from the river of life, and the river of life spreads the water of love throughout this great world.

As you share this week, notice what happens to your heart. Notice how it moves, shifts, and, ultimately, expands. Notice how the giving is the same as the receiving; notice how they are one and the same.

Enjoy!

GIFTS:

Dear friends, let us ponder the Ripeness card (9 of rainbows).WP_20170612_001

This week you are being encouraged to take action. Yet, this is not action in the “normal” way. Instead, you will be able to take your action in a way that is totally effortless. Without stress or any force whatsoever.

In Taoism, there is a concept called Wu Wei.

This basically means that when we are totally absorbed and engaged in the present moment of what we are doing, that action can then arise spontaneously and effortlessly, and we will not only thoroughly enjoy the action but we will also be extremely successful in it.

This week, can you bring some Wu Wei into your life? Can you allow the ripe action to flow from a space of ease and grace? Can you allow the moments of pure perfection to flow?

If you take action at this time, in a way that is spontaneous, natural, and without force, then you will be successful in what you do.

GROWTH:

This week, I have selected the Suppression card (10 of fire).WP_20170612_002

This is certainly not the happiest looking card in the deck. Yikes! What does this card mean?

Well, simply stated, there are words that you have been suppressing for fear that you will create disharmony and negative feelings in those around you. You have been suppressing words of truth that you long to speak, yet you’ve been stuck. The words have lodged themselves in your throat chakra, and you have been unable to fully express yourself in your true vision.

This week, I encourage you to break out of the ropes and chains of suppression, and stand proudly and boldly in your own beautiful light. Stand tall. Look someone directly in the eye and speak.

When you speak, speak with kindness but also with a conviction in your own wisdom. Do not fear others’ reactions to your words, but simply speak, being in the present moment, aligned with the vibration of truth. Understand that however people react is their business. Understand that what is most important for your learning at this time is to stand in your sovereignty.

For it is through this release that you will find a new path. A new joy.

GIFTS:

Hooray!!! This week I’ve drawn the Celebration card (3 of water)!!!WP_20170604_003

What your guides want you to understand about this week is that you need not wait for the “perfect occasion” to celebrate. You need not schedule a party or wait for a promotion or wait for someone to invite you on a wild excursion. Rather, celebration can be done right here, right now, regardless of the external conditions.

Even if it is raining outside, go outside and dance! Even if you are sitting in a cubicle, take a few moments to sway your body back and forth to some lovely music! Each moment, no matter how seemingly ordinary or mundane, is a moment for celebration, for fun, for play.

The underlying emotion and realization underneath a spirit of celebration is that of gratitude. When we celebrate, we are tapping into that feeling of gratitude for the sheer joy of being alive. We realize life is a precious awesome gift—so hooray! Time to party!

GROWTH:

Your opportunity for growth this week is represented by the Silence card (XVII of Major Arcana).WP_20170604_004

This is a crucial stepping stone, a crucial moment in your life. Something has just shifted in your reality, and you need to give it time and space for a review.

This time is about going inward, about taking some space from others, and to go within. This week is a great time for meditation and solitary activities in quiet spaces. Go outside for walks in nature; take soothing baths; practice yoga at home; meditate. Go within, and listen for the messages that are waiting to be revealed.

The key is not to “try” to hear the messages. Simply relax and let them come. The messages may not even come in words, in fact—they may simply come in the form of a feeling or a strong inner knowing. They may be beyond words.

Once you find and enter this place of stillness, of silence within you, breathe slowly. Get in touch with your body’s need to de-tense, and give yourself up wholly to the experience. The Universe is asking you to take a Pause right now. To retreat from ordinary human activities, and to carve out some space for sacred retreat. It is here that you will settle into yourself, and find the peace that you seek.

And, remember, as you take this space for silence, you are also, too, celebrating. The two are not separate. As you sink into the glorious silence, you give silent thanks for the beauty of being alive. You are so blessed! You are so fortunate to live the kind of life that allows you to rest. Some people on the planet are not so fortunate. Take some time to give some prayers of thanks this week.

WEEK OF MAY 29, 2017

unnamed

GIFTS:

I have drawn the Experiencing card.unnamed (1)

(On a personal note, this is one of my favorite cards, and I love to see it come up in a reading!)

This card represents all the simple beauty in simply being alive to our present moment awareness. Being in the senses fully. Breathing in the majesty of nature.

On this card, we see a genderless being caught up in a moment of gentle, warm intimacy with a tree. It is clear that the tree and the human are One. It is clear that the tree is communicating with the human, and the human is communicating with the tree. However, the language is not with words—the language shared is beyond concepts and ideas.

Instead of language, the two are speaking the eternal language of the heart. They are radiating their life energy with and into each other.

This week, I encourage you to get out into nature and experience the gifts beautiful Gaia has to offer! Become alive again—and hug a tree! Feel the bark under your fingertips and breathe in the scent of the leaves deeply. Commune with our brothers and sisters in the plant world. Become alive again!

This week, you are particularly ripe for such an experience. It is in your nature to want to deeply experience nature, and when we can intimately connect with plants and other creatures on the Earthplane, we realize our intrinsic Oneness, and we lose the fear that comes from the mistaken belief in separation.

This week, set your intention to Experience. Get out of your head, away from your work, away from the dramas and comings and goings of your social life, and fully enter the moment. Allow yourself to take a vacation. Release yourself. Enter the gorgeous simple beauty of nature in the present moment, and thereby, reveal the nature of your own gorgeous heart.

GROWTH:

This week presents an interesting relationship between gifts and growth, as I have drawn the Laziness card.unnamed (2)

There is a definite distinction between allowing yourself to drop deeply into the present moment (experiencing), and laziness. The two are not the same.

Experiencing is about mindful absorption in the present moment, taking part in nourishing activities.

Laziness, on the other hand, is about lethargy, and the attempt to grab at shallow or harmful pleasures.

In this card, we see a person drinking alcohol, propped up by pillows. There is a sour expression on the person’s face. This person is surrounded by riches and comfort, yet he is clearly not happy.

There are two main forms of laziness. The first is trying to numb ourselves, trying to deaden and escape uncomfortable feelings. Usually people numb themselves through alcohol, drugs, unhealthy “comfort” food, television, movies, or over-indulgence of social media. In these ways, we are simply pushing down uncomfortable feelings under the surface. Over time, these feelings grow and become explosive energy within our bodies that eventually need to be released. We cannot run from our feelings forever. And if we let them build up, then it will be even more difficult to deal with them later. The key is to deal with them as they arise.

The second form of laziness comes about as a result of pushing ourselves too hard, working ourselves past our limit, and then collapsing into an exhausted heap. In this blurry stupor, we often turn to some of the coping methods described above, or we simply use our time unintentionally. Maybe we simply zone out on YouTube or we read crappy novels. Maybe we hang out with people who are comfortable or familiar, yet they do not help us advance on our spiritual path.

The wisdom, my friends, that is being presented to you this week is this: take the time for yourself during the week to Experience life by getting out into nature, and also spending intentional time with inspiring loved ones who affirm your spirit and worth. Take the time to laugh and play and put boundaries on how much time you work.

Balance is so crucial for the spiritual journey. If we have lost our balance, we have lost everything. We have forgotten who we are: Divine beings who have incarnated into bodies to have a human experience.

This week, prioritize your time for Experiencing and for the kinds of fun that enhance your spiritual growth. Stop working too much, move slower, and breathe.

If you’re nervous about making these kinds of changes, you can think of this reading as your permission slip. I hereby decree you shall flourish if you approach your week in this way!

The second card represents your areas for growth this week. Remember: there is no life without challenge…no light without dark, no yin without yang. Life in human form is a mixed bag of circumstances and lessons. It is in our highest wisdom to recognize and embrace all aspects, even the ones that are painful. Our soul needs challenges in order to grow and learn. So, stand and face these growth opportunities with an open, courageous, loving heart.

WEEK OF MAY 22, 2017

GIFTS:

Dear friends, this week I have drawn the Flowering card (queen of rainbows).WP_20170514_002

This card represents a beautiful occurrence that has manifested after a time of great patience. It represents a mountaintop moment, a moment a bliss, a moment where the clouds part and the sun shines through so brilliantly. At this flowering moment, words seem to fail and all you can do is FEEL.

This card points to an accomplishment, promotion, or advancement that takes place in the physical world of form. It could be in the area of finances, career, or a personal project. A seed you planted is now ready to blossom.

When you feel the beauty of this moment, breathe deeply. Life in human form may not always, as you know, feel quite so magical. Take some time to savor this. Remember to lift your hands in thanks. And, most importantly, share the abundance and the joy you feel with others! Spread your love around, like the wind! Help others to savor the flowering fragrance in the air.

GROWTH:

I have chosen “The Source” card (ace of fire)photo_Fire Ace

This week, your challenge is learning how to let go. (This is a continuation from the lessons you learned from last week, with the no-thingness card.)

This week you will be challenged regarding how to let go of the part of you that falsely imagines it “knows” all things.

This week, you will be presented with the opportunity to release some of your ego. In particular, there is an arrogant and judgmental/critical aspect to your earthly personality that is ready to be released.

Dear friend, please understand that there are higher wisdoms than the wisdoms that we can fathom. There are realms of bliss and light outside of what the human brain can comprehend. From these realms, love shines down into our realm. Wisdom enters, through the heart.

There are beings—angels, guides, ascended masters—and others who dwell in permanent connection to Source wisdom. These beings have much to share with us—if only we will allow them to. If only we can be brave enough to receive.

Indeed, it is so important for us this week to be able to admit: “I am open to the wisdom of higher realms.”

Please note that when I speak of “higher realms,” I am not doing so in a framework of judgment or blame or hierarchy. The higher realms do not look upon the lower realms with disdain. Another way of speaking about what I am speaking about is to say that there are realms with beings who are more evolved than we are. Just like a human being has more complex wisdom than a squirrel, so too do the higher realms have more wisdom than the normal mundane wisdom of this planet. There’s no judgment in this.

In fact, when we speak of more “evolved,” we also, simultaneously, speak of “more love.” More wisdom means more love. More love means more wisdom. The two always go hand in hand. Always.

Therefore, it’s safe to let down your guard, drop your shields, and relax into your heart-space and consciously open yourself up to the Source wisdom that wants to grace your life this week. Set the intention to be humble, open, and ready. Be ready for the wisdom. Be ready for the love.

TFS week May15

Welcome to your weekly Tarot for the Soul reading!

If you have been guided to this reading, then you are in the right place, my friend. This reading is meant for you.

As always, I have drawn two cards from my Osho Zen Tarot deck, offering you guidance for your week ahead.

The first card represents the gifts that will be showered upon you this week by the Universe/Spirit/God (whatever you want to call your higher power). We always have gifts being delivered to us—spiritual mastery lies in slowing down enough to be able to recognize them and cultivate gratitude. Our soul longs to say “thank you,” and, so, by taking a moment to give thanks, we generate more positive energy so that more and more gifts may manifest in the future!

WEEK OF MAY 15, 2017

GIFTS:

This is going to be a deeply spiritual week for you, dear friend, as I have drawn the No-thingness card (V of Major Arcana).unnamed (1)

This week you will feel the pressure of your Small Self (the part of you that is ruled by the ego) release into moments where you feel you are dissolving into nothing at all. Empty. Blank. The void. A clear space of nothing. You will feel totally calm and free. You will feel boundless: a part of everything and yet nothing at all.

This will happen outside of your meditation practice, outside of any formal spiritual practice that you do. It will rise up and naturally occur on its beautiful own. Watch for it. When it happens, do not cling to anything. Feel free to sit as long as you like, eyes open or closed, and simply feeling the space where there is only space. Drop your To Do list, and don’t move to do this or that. Don’t answer the phone; don’t pretend something is more important than This.

When the ego is dissolved, fear is healed. And when fear is healed, you can then enter the world with a residual glow from that experience. Others can sense it. You have a certain twinkle in your eye. You have a certain light.  A certain freedom.

GROWTH:

This week, your challenge will be to grow past some outdated tendencies. I have drawn The Miser card (4 of rainbows).unnamed (3)

During this week, you will feel an abundance of blessings pouring in, and you will be faced with a choice: Do I share, or do I hoard? Do I give freely, or do I cling?

The tendency to want to squirrel away happy feelings, material abundance, energy, or wisdom is a natural human impulse. However, this week, through your gift of No-thingness, you are moving, more and more, beyond the human realm. You are transcending the “normal,” the everyday, the common, the accepted.

This week, you are being asked by the Universe to share more with others. Serve more. Go out, in little ways and big ways, and serve your community, your family, your friends, and even strangers in shops and on streets. (Maybe especially strangers in shops and on streets!)

You have an abundance of wisdom, love, compassion, wealth, and kindness to share. You are an Infinite source of blessings to be shared.

Can you bless others? Can you take the time to forget yourself, and simply serve, without condition?

Selfless service is doing for others without thoughts of return. It is expanding the circle of love outside yourself simply because it feels good to do so.

You know that in order for this world to heal, you must first offer the world the healing that has been bestowed upon your own heart. You must share what you have learned, all you have received. And you have learned so much!

When we serve, our own gifts are multiplied. This is a law of the universe.

So, this week, the Miser card challenges you to open your heart and move beyond the miser mindset. Get out of your own little box and move into the wider expanse of our broader human family, seeing every face as a different version of yourself. Seeing every heart the possible recipient for your own deep love.

WEEK OF MAY 8, 2017

May 8 spread

GIFTS:

This week I have been guided to the Conditioning card (XV Major Arcana).WP_20170429_003

This week you will be able to see more clearly all the ways you have been conditioned by society to believe you are worthless, small, helpless, needy, fragile. You will be shown, through synchronistic events and through the voice of your own intuition, lessons about your own power, and how that power directly contradicts with the false voice of society.

In the picture on this card, you see a lion who has lost his way. He believes he is a sheep. He lives among the sheep, and he even has one tied to his paws, which he carries upon his back. His load is heavy. See the look of sadness upon his face.

As this week unfolds, your higher power wants you to see how there is an ever-widening contrast between how you used to regularly feel and how you tend to feel now. You used to be the sad lion…but now you are, in general, happier. You have a sense of joy that you did not have before; a sense of deep peace and acceptance. This is because you are following your inner guidance. You know, more and more, who you truly are. You are able to experience your own truths rather than listen to the dictates of a sick society.

As you wake up to the false truths you’ve been taught, as you wake up out of the false conditioning, you move away from the sheep and realize the lion within.

Welcome this week with open arms, as you thank your Creator/Spirit/Angels (your higher power) for the blessings of clearer vision and a more open, receptive heart. Take some time this week to congratulate yourself for how far you’ve come. It’s truly remarkable!

GROWTH:

This week is the week of Integration (XIV Major Arcana). WP_20170429_001

Before I discuss this particular card’s meaning, I’d like to draw your attention to the fact that, this week, I’ve drawn two cards from the Major Arcana. Thus, it is certain that this week will be particularly loaded with opportunities for spiritual growth. This growth may feel quite intense at times, but do not fear, do not worry. Simply notice the worried thoughts that tend to enter your mind, and, once you notice them, simply let them go. Release them like a balloon into the wind. Clear the negative self-talk out of your mind, clear the doubts, the hesitations, the critical thoughts, and, simply, return to the present moment of now.

This week is all about the realization that life is more magical than you ever believed to be so. Ancient wisdom will be coming through to you from unexpected sources. A teacher will pop up for you in the least likely of places. Be open to this teacher. If this teacher speaks of things you do not quite fully understand, do not allow the mind to trick you into distancing or closing yourself off from this teacher, but rather breathe and notice how your body feels relaxed and peaceful around this person’s teachings. This relaxation is the true sign that you are meant to learn from this teaching.

This week’s growth is about the balancing of seeming opposites. Of an inner alchemy. On the card you notice there is both the eagle (known for its fire and fierceness) and there is also the swan (known for its watery peacefulness). Both of these are beautiful, are they not? Yes. Both are beautiful for their own unique aspects they bring to the world. One is not more beautiful than the other; one is not more “special” than the other.

Who is the swan inside of you and who is the eagle? Can you sense both parts? Do you favor one part and tend to stifle or discount the other?

So, this week, your challenge will be to absorb these deep teachings of integration, of inner alchemy. No need to rush out and share them with others quite yet. Just sit with them yourself. Be quiet, be still, and know in your bones that as you allow yourself to integrate the seeming opposites (seeming duality) within yourself and learn to find All as beautiful, All as right, then what you will do is, naturally, begin to unravel the conditioning of the human-made world within yourself. You will heal. You will create the inner alchemy within yourself, to prepare you for the next stage of your journey.

And so it is.
